Its show season again, so I have been to Eurobike in Friedrichshaven, Germany, to meet all my favourite suppliers and try and find new stuff.
This year I pedalled through Switzerland, a beautiful country with an amazing cycling infrastructure.

Bikefix Sponsors World Record Attempt
Our friend Julian Sayerer is attempting to set a new speed record for pedalling around the world. This involves travelling more than 18,000 miles/28,970km, and the current record is 194 days and 17 hours. We wish him good luck. Follow his progress here.

Yoga for Cyclists in Bethnal Green
Rebecca Bogue is running a second series of her "Yoga for Cyclists" courses at Bodywise in Bethnal Green on Thursday nights from 8.15 - 9.30pm
Classes will be offered as two six week courses
starting 8th Jan - 12th Feb and then 26th Feb - 2nd
April.

Brompton Updates 2009

The Low Life
This years big HPV event was the world championships at RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk. About 120 riders gathered for the occasion including "Team Bikefix". I have to report that the venue was great, the weather dramatic, the racing superb, and champions were created.

The founders of Cycling Club Hackney (CCH) have been aware for some time that there
was a gap for an all-purpose cycling club to serve Hackney and surrounding areas. After a series of open meetings CCH was officially incorporated on the 28th November 2007.

Friday Night Ride is a bike ride around London. It's a ride for fun, fresh(ish) air and comradeship. It's unsupported, it's It's about celebrating cycling and celebrating London. It's not a demo or a protest. It's not anti-traffic. Whoever you are, you're welcome to join the Friday Night Ride.

Earls Court Shows Off
The big UK cycle show was at Earls Court this year and was more fun than I expected. OK, I don't go there to be wowed by the latest technology, in fact the most interesting new products could all be usefully described as lifestyle products - stuff that helps you integrate cycling into your daily life.

HP Announce Folding Grasshopper and Mesh Seat
For 2008 HP Velotechnik will be offering the new folding Grasshopper FX. This bike folds down into a very small package and uses the same joint technology from the Scorpion FX trike. There is also a new mesh seat for the Grasshopper and the Scorpion.
